MSWaste

The word waste has multiple different meanings it can mean anything from a waste of time to a garbage bag so I will only focus on solid waste.

The waste collected from homes, schools, and offices like scrap paper are often classed as municipal solid waste or MSW for short. Mostly MSW is things like packaging, stationary and food scraps but can also include things like industrial sludge, this comes from mining, construction, and manufacturing. In 2006 America alone generated over 250 million tons of trash and 55% went to landfill.

MSW is HUGE, there is more than a billion tons of MSW in landfill at this very moment. I will try, and I hope you do to, to reduce my MSW production.

  1. Kia ora Tane I absolutely loved your writing especially the part where you said it has multiple meanings because most people dont know that. One thing I thought you could do better is add a little bit more writing in your last paragraph because it only has 2 lines. But I honestly loved your writing piece and I wish I had of done a good one like this.
